STINGRAY SPECIAL ANCHORS

The drag anchors are the most
popular type of anchoring
device available today.
This type of anchor is designed
to penetrate the seabed,
either in whole or in part.

The ability to drag and the
sinking is still generated by the
resistance of the soil, which is
opposed to the motion of
sinking it.
Dragging anchors, such as
Stingray, are particularly suited
to resist large horizontal loads,
but not for large vertical
loads.

In the picture on the side is
given an anchor of its
collapse stingray from 375kg
to sandy bottom.
The light weight and the high
capacity required on the
bottom make it ideal anchors
for mooring facilities for fish
farming, especially in exposed
sites or better defined as OFF-
SHORE.

ANCHORS FOR SANDY-MUDDY
SEA GROUND

SM12 like-model with a weight
ranging from 150 kg to 1000 kg
with max loads required from
19.3 to over 68 tons, is a multi-
purpose anchor, particularly
suitable for bottoms of sand
and/or mud.

The table below shows the
difference in weight between
Stingray anchors and Samson
12 (traditionally used in fish
farming mooring) for the same
load required.

TWISTED AND BRAIDED ROPES

The ropes used in the mooring
lines in fish farming are
generally twisted POLYSTEEL
ropes. This fiber is produced by
polipropylene + high-density
polyethylene extruded yarns.

These fibers, mixed together,
give a tensile strength of
about 20-25% higher than the
polypropylene rope, keeping
the same specific weight.

Rope are also available in
Nylon, Dyneema ©, Polyester
and Polypropylene.

Can be provided ready for
use mooring lines completed
of thimble, splicing, and oval
ring.

Badinotti Group’s aquaculture equipment line includes most of the fish farming mooring equipment that each farmer needs, likes: anchors, new and used chains, shackles, ropes, etc.

The stock in the italian warehouse give you the possibility to satisfy your order request in few days.
